While we are traveling we use Spot. Spot uses GPS satellites to mark out position on a map for others to see where we are located. We can also send and receive messages via the Spot when out of cellular reception.

In addition, we also use Nebo, which is another tracking software package that will place our location, via GPS, on another map. Nebo is specifically for people traveling on boats.

Finally, we use the tracking software on our marine chart that is on my iPad. If you have and use Aqua Maps, you can search for us in Live Sharing.

We are working on our Google Map of our Great Loop Adventure. I am also working on embedding the map on this page. Until then, click on the link below to see our map. Feel free to send me an email on your thoughts of the map!

Back in Wisconsin

Scott here. The boat has been left floating in Belhaven, NC. They have a short list of work to do and will bring her on the hard before July 1. Our new to us car brought us back to WI easily enough while pulling a U-Haul trailer. We made the 17+ hour trip in two…

Travel day #76 stats

Scott here. Let’s talk about April 17, 2024. My longest day traveling on the boat by myself. It was a perfect day for it. Just enough wind to keep me cool and I only passed 10-12 boat either way. A few no wake zones but more slowing down for construction people, even though I missed…
